COMMITTEES
White Oak PTA manages a variety committees in the school. These committees range from faculty appreciation and membership to community outreach, health and wellness, and fundraising. Whatever your passion, there's a committee for you! Skim below to see where you belong.
ROOM PARENTS
Our Room Parents are on the front lines of communication between the PTA and our parents. In addition to helping out their teachers, our room parents plan our annual winter and end of year parties, provide water and popsicles at the Hoot Scoot and field day, and help to source volunteers for various PTA events.
FACULTY APPRECIATION
The goal of the Faculty Appreciation Committee is to take care of the faculty and support staff of White Oak Elementary. We show our love by periodically feeding our teachers throughout the year as well as organize our annual Teacher Appreciation Week in May.
ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION
Our Environmental Education Committee has been hard at work the past several years organizing and helping to plan the construction of the White Oak Outdoor Discovery Zone aka WOODZ. Additionally, they have brought in Master Gardeners to teach our students about gardening, and, in conjunction with the Health and Wellness Committee, annually sponsor the WOWEE Expo and 5K!
SPIRIT WEAR
Fridays are Spirit Days at White Oak, and we want to encourage everyone to wear their White Oak apparel on those days! Spirit Wear makes this possible. If you are an inventory guru and can either represent or gather a team to sell at the many WOES events through the year, then we need you.

HEALTH & WELLNESS
Health and Wellness works closely with Environmental Education to coordinate the WOWEE 5K in April, our bi-annual Walk To School Days and PTA sponsored Run Club. We are parents who are active and excited to bring Health and Wellness to White Oak Elementary to bring early adoption to healthy choices.
COMMUNITY PARTNERS
Do you have a passion for helping White Oak establish ties with our community? Then we need you! We are actively looking for liasons to help us get local businesses involved in White Oak Elementary. We do this by offering sponsorship tiers for events, bartering, or shared discounting. If you are a people person consider joining our team.

Box Tops Fundraising
Our Box Tops Collection program is an easy way for parents to help support our school. Simply look for the Box Top for Education on select products, cut it out, and send it in with your child on our designated Box Tops collection day. Want to take it a step further? You can help our Box Tops chair collect and organize all those Box Tops for mailing and collecting the school funds. Box Top collections happen on various months in the year. We need planners to communicate with teachers, coordinate prizes and parties and build excitement in the school. This committee also works with our fundraising efforts through Amazon Smile and Publix Partners.
COMMUNICATION
Communications is responsible for all Parent Communication related to the PTA. Various mediums include electronic communication (MailChimp), Creating monthly PTA Event Flyers, updating the White Oak PTA website, and administering the White Oak Facebook page.
ALL PRO DAD
All Pro Dad is a PTA sponsored organization that helps foster Dad and Child relationships at White Oak Elementary. All Pro Dad's gather every month to coordinate a breakfast with our children and actively help serve White Oak together.
YEAR BOOK
The PTA is in charge of creation and distribution of the yearbook at White Oak. If you enjoy photography, cropping, editing, organizing and being artsy this is a committee that needs you today!
PTA REFLECTIONS
If you love everything art, then PTA’s Reflections Committee needs you. This committee creates an arts program that partners with WOES in organizing the annual art contest. Finding volunteers to help judge and create the art expo.
MEDIA CENTER
The Media Center Committee partners with WOES Media Center to organize volunteers for the various programs and events held during the year. From daily volunteers to help shelve books, Book Fairs, and other popular literacy events.
