2023-24 BOOT SCOOT

Saddle up, Longhorns!

What is the Boot Scoot?

The Boot Scoot is White Oak Elementary’s main fundraiser. On Friday, September 29, students will run laps around the track to raise money for school improvements. Students are encouraged to collect donations from family and friends in support of their efforts.

What is the Boot Scoot goal?

Our goal this year is to raise $25,000. All of the profits raised go right back to the school! In years past we’ve been able to complete the outdoor classroom/garden, complete the rock wall, and purchase technology. This year our goal is to purchase additional playground equipment for our new inclusive playground and fund other school initiatives like STEM, Clubs for All, and Explore Sugar Hill!

How does this work?

Students ask friends and family to donate any dollar amount for completing the Fun Run on September 29. Kids who fundraise and meet incremental goals will receive fun incentive gifts and we'll have prizes for top fundraisers, grade-level Penny Wars winners, and a special prize if we reach the school goal!

What if most of your family and friends live far away?

NO PROBLEM! Call them or send them an email asking them to donate - be sure to include the link to give: www.woespta.org/product-page/boot-scoot-donation

What do the kids get for participating?

Every White Oak student will receive a FREE Boot Scoot T-Shirt. PLUS, depending on the amount your child raises, we have a variety of other prizes for earners on donation days.

What type of payments can be received?

You can send in cash or checks with your student; be sure to place cash/checks in an envelope with your student's first and last name and their teacher's name written on it. Make checks payable to White Oak Elementary PTA. To donate online, visit the White Oak Store and select the amount you'd like to give.

Can I make online donations for more than one child?

Absolutely! Select the donation option you prefer and enter the first kid's name and teacher into the mandatory fields before checkout. Then, add a second donation to your cart and enter the second kid's name and teacher. Both donations will show up in your cart at checkout!
